I see it like this:

LOSI = Dodge Viper - Heavier, stronger, simpler design, possibly a better basher.
AE = Porsche 911 4 - Lighter, more nimble, more sophisticated, possibly more maintenence

The SCTE is designed to be a ROAR legal truck so the motor mount is setup to run 550 motors. It is not setup to run the larger 670 sized motors.

Put the 8ight titanium tie-rods on my SCTE just to make sure they fit for you all and they fit great. The threads have more bite as well so they will hold even better. They also save 15.8 grams.

I assume they are the 4mm 8ight 2.0 Ti rods?

I live in Florida and will be again racing on an outside track so temps are a bit of a concern for me. It comes with a fan....right? Is it enough to keep it cool enough to not be a worry?
im sure the 8th scale would run cooler. i live in north alabama. i got my jammin in oct so didnt race on any 100 degree days. it does come with a fan.

i also run a mamba monster in my 8ight.

what i like about the novak.

thermal protection
rebuildable
programming via a push button
on board temp sensor via same push button

as i mentioned i tqued with this system(twice now) at my local track and only been racing since july. i would someday like to switch to an 8th scale system for the 4wd sc, but funds are tight and right now its getting the job done!!

You want something along these lines - http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...-550-Motor-55T

4.5 or 5.5 for 2S.

I agree Salad. 550 4.5 or 5.5 for 2s. Just got a Fantom Fusion 2 4.5 for my truck to compare with the 5.5. Also need to take the diffs apart and see how they are holding up. Rear outdrives show signs of wear, but the rest look pretty good.

The Fantom Fusions a KILLER motor (just am not a fan of the 3mm shaft) but Jeff is tops on customer service and quality. I am doing the same on Saturday, going to pull the diffs apart and peep the pins. I ordered more, they should be here by then.
