On a separate note, when are new kits supposed to be back on the shelves? (or are they just leaking out slowly, so it is a "you'll get one when you get one" kinda thing?)

My guess is that there wont be new cars until theres some new diff pins

And I assume the new batch of trucks will be out once they get the new pins installed?

Thought I would post the first real dirty SCTE on this forum. Locally in FL we run on wet Clay outdoor tracks, this run was on our track in the back yard after the rain today went through. We had to test out our new track layout and make sure all the dirt mods worked before we race this Sunday, good test
.
I added my own tray over, rear mud guards, cover for the drive shafts (green Balloons
, think the stock Shock boots would work well.) , shock socks and a must to remove the dirt grabbing faux beadlocs to keep all of the dirt out. Without any of this the tray and shocks fill solid with clay/dirt as you all know, adds tremendous amount of weight and eats rotating parts alive, hard lesson learned from past 4x4 SCT's.
Setup: Sidewinder SCT , ESC is the V2 sidewinder much better than V1 by far, running fans on motor and ESC, gearing 13/40 and a TP 5300mah 2s 65c.
Temp outside = 75 deg., was able to get 00:09:30 run time with Temps: ESC 110, motor = 105, temps taken within 60 seconds of stopping.
Sorry I did not weigh truck when finished, scale broke of course but you can see the added weight from the clay. This is not counting the clay on the underside of the body, easily pushing past +7 lbs, this would be after the 2-3 lap.

I see you Pete G
Better buy some super duper tires for the next race, you'll need them.
Long story short: Friend sold me a Losi SC for a decent price even though I've sworn up and down I'd never get another one. Another friend sells me a nib Novak SC system for a good price. I bring everything to the track with me, still boxed up. I ask another friend to drive his Losi so I could see how it handled before getting mine dirty. After 3 laps, I walked off the stand with a smile. Less than 1 hour later, I'm running mine on the track. It almost drives itself around the track, it's that good.
