Who cares if they post it again, it's good info and it helps from spending hours of reading back. If it's about pins....yes i agree but good info is something else.

well my Diff pins finally gave out on me.
My center diff exploded. The temp on diff it self was 280 Degrees?! wtf. The diff also melted pretty badly. Hot oil dripped on my lipo, Luckily it didnt do any damage.
Looks like I'm shelving this chassis till more parts are available.
I'll open the diff up and see what i find and take some pictures of that massacre.

You knew about the bad pins, but continued to drive? I realize you guys are hard up to drive your trucks but what did you expect was going to happen to the diffs?

This may sound really dumb, what are the eyelets?

The little plastic piece that threads onto the shock shaft and mounts to the arm.

All the more reason to get some sort of replacement pins so this doesn't happen, glad I got my Chrispins in the beginning, my diffs are smoooooooth.

Ii bought this truck today and I'm interested in hardening the stock diff pins while I wait for my aftermarket ones. Can someone please post a link to the method I've heard was in this thread somewhere?

http://www.ehow.com/how_4579248_hard...motor-oil.html

I did the oil dip twice and the pins are holding up pretty good and I'm on my 15th pack so far on the truck.
All I used was MAPP gas even though I have acetylene I wanted to see if anyone could do it with something that can be bought at HD or LOWES.

Great choice of motor. My buddy has one new in box that he bought as a spare for his hyper but now he doesn't need it. He will sell it for $125 shipped if anyone is intetested.
