I replaced my "worn" pins with a set from A-Main. 6 minutes of driving and the pins and gears went out on me. Same sound it was making before. I haven't torn it apart yet. When I do, I'll post pics. This is getting absolutely ridiculous.

There is plenty of room for what ever ESC you chose even 8th scale systems.

I have been really happy with my Novak Ballistic 4.5. Ryan just put in a Tekin 4.5 550 motor in his and it is very fast as well. LRP will have there motor out soon as well so a few good choices for 550 racing motors out there!
does your settings under 2s battery ???

I just peeked at mine, I have three full days on the diff cups and they are getting pretty toasted (rears are worst). I believe Ryan mentioned the pins in the diff and the cups are now harder on the release of the production truck, but what about the parts they have available now? I would like to replace them now in case they fail.

I just got a set from Horizon on Friday. I have ran 6 five minute races since and maybe 5-8 minutes of practice. I took my center diff apart today and they were already showing significant wear. The ones I got dont seem to be better yet. I am running a 5.5 on 2S, nothing too overpowered.

Mine is barely above room temperature after 20+ minutes of running.

My friend runs the Castle SC 1410 in his 810e and it works perfectly. Cool temps and very efficient. I'd probably recommend the Castle 1415 for the SCT version though.
checked Castle 1415 motor, it said Motor Shaft: 1/8 inch , does it mean 5mm shaft for 1:8 scale ???

Most of you here are running 2s setups correct?

My track has an open 4x4 SC class so I am not held down by the restrains of 2s regs and rules. Currently my 810 that is in the works will either run a 22oo MMM or a 2650 MMM I can not decide. I ran the 22oo and a XERUN 150 when it was the Ten T truggy, but I am thinking that that was super over kill, as would be the 2650 on 3s. I am seriously thinking about running the 810 and this this season. So 2s looks like a possibility, maybe 2s or 3s with the Castle SCT pro system.

Anyone here running a larger set up?
I think 8th scale motors will be over powered. They need to be able to mount with 3mm screws in a 540 pattern as that is how the motor mount is designed. 3S 550 5.5 is what Dunford has run in is 810 and that is really quick.

Again you need to have a motor that has the mount pattern for a 540/550 with 3mm screws. There is plenty of room for the speedo. It uses std 8th scale Mod 1 Pinions so all your 8th scale pinions will work with this car. No need to buy new 32 pitch pinions!

You just need to pull the rear holes back a couple mm and then take a little more off the back of the rear wheel wells and it fits right now. We have been using SCT bodies on our test trucks for a while! Works great.

If you are running a 8000mah battery it should put out plenty of amps. These trucks with the 550 motors and the extra weight of the 4wd system pull a lot of amps so you want a battery that can keep up. That was his point. The car will benefit from something that can put out good amps. Since C rating is

You have to get a bore reducer so you can use pinions with a 5mm bore. Rc monster sells them. Not sure why castle decided on the 1/8 shaft. We've been lobbying them to make a 5mm shaft option.

Yes since going to 810 from sct ten conversion I have replaced the outdrives, they were pretty much toast. So yeah I think I will go smaller with the 2650 on 3s for a while and eventually go to the castle sct pro.

But, to my defense, holy crap is this guy fun on 4s with the 22oo! Triple sure, no problem!

maybe I will turn down the settings on the ESC.

Castle said the 1415/MMP supports up to 6.5lb......but ten-scte weighted as 6.75lb.........i think 7.4v is not enough.

I dont know why but I have barely any wear in my drive cups. Just those pins.

I ran my 5.5 on 3S a few times, I couldnt imagine more. I am surprised you guys runnng 4s arent ripping the tires off. I was trying to talk the guys at our outdoor track to run a 3S Pro 4x4 class.

Xcelorin ESC's are currently discontinued.

http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...ProdID=NOV3504
http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...odID=TEKTT2243

We have run both motors, they are both great.

ESC. Again high end 10th scale should work. Speed passion, LRP TC spec (want fan) Novak Havoc Pro.

All these should be great speedo's for this car.
