Sad but I bought a set of front and rear Ten T a-arms in December and paid 10 buck for all 4. I feel for the guys who need parts right now.

The thing that irritates me about this whole diff pin deal is that i was promised interim pins in a few days and permenant pims in a week or two. I haventseen a thing in two weeks. I passed on Chris's pins because i trusted Horizon was telling the truth. I am not upset but its ridiculous they lied to buy themselves time. Now i missed out on the first several shipments. Screw Horizon, im going to buy Chris' pins...

Setup not working out for you? Seems like a good place to start. I've got the 4.5t and 5.5t novak ballistic with tekin rx8 and I feel the power's just not there. As I gear up my runtime's are horrible 4-6 minutes and heat is an issue. Setup was awesome in my jammin scrt10 but just a little lacking in the scte. The jammin had a 46t spur and 13t pinion stock. I wish they had a bigger spur for the losi although I am not sure of the final drive ratio in the diffs. Does anyone know? I'm thinking the same thing with 1/8th scale electrics but want to race with it and our track does not allow.
i ran a novak havoc and 4.5 turn in my jammin with no problems at all. i ran a 10T and alot of timing to make up in the straight. the lowest i tried with my losi was a 12t, but like you said: run times are terrible and heat was border line. i toasted my novak trying to exp with the right pinion. i feel the weight is too much for 10th scale systems...dont get me wrong i love the weight. its a slash punting SOB, but I am going with 8th scale electronics. looking to enjoy cool temps, long run times, and not have to worry about heat!

Luckily I bought all the spares way before the truck came out, I have not broken an a-arm (knock on wood). I always surf eBay for diffs... Easier to have a diff already to go with fluid then swap the fluid.

A guy is selling great pins on this site or you can swap to sc10 pins in the diffs w/o issues while losi gets the replacements sourced out. iMO not a deal breaker on a truck you can snag for 250-260 by any means.

Had fun today in my first race with this or any other SC truck. I sucked, but not too bad that I can't bring it up a bit once i get use to it. Definitely had heat issues, but never cogged or broke down.
My MMP / Tekin 4.5 / 14t was coming off at 170-180 on the motor, hotter than anything else I've run. Speed was just about perfect though and had no problems down the straight or quad'ing our little double/table section.
Track is NorCal Hobbies, I think it's 100x70 or something, lots of videos posted here of it. Super tacking hooked up today.
Should i be looking at dropping down a tooth or two and bringing in some timing?

Just put my GT2.0 Pro Brushless ESC in my truck matched with a v10 550 4.5 sp motor . Worked perfect used a 16 tooth pinion holly does it go like a raped ape! I have a big ass heatsink and fan on it Drove it hard on the street for about 3 min or so, motor wasnt even warm put about 1500 mah back in the gens 5000 40 c battery after that. The esc works perfect and has a ton of rip if anyway is looking for a wicked esc that is pretty cheep.
