I meant aerodynamics. I am sure you know that aerodynamics play a part in top speed, even in a SC at 30MPH. As far as weight goes, I think they expect you to use common sense along with the results. I could punch in the numbers for a Micro-T brushless system in a FG Monster Truck and get some pretty neat results, but what do you think would happen if I actually tried it? As long as heat and available current are not an issue, then weight is not an issue.
If you are not seeing numbers reasonably close to what the calc. is suggesting, then you have either used inaccurate data or you have other issues with your car/truck/electronics/ability.

i believe the biggest factor in speed calculators (other then weight and aerodynamics(if applicable)) that is missing, is parasitic loss. one truck/buggy's drivetrain efficiency is not anothers.

I am going to run a Mamba Max Pro. If you have the money a Tekin RX8 would probably be the best ESC but I think the MMP is the best in price to performance by far.

Nope, they're the same as the 10-T and 810.

I have one coming via mail as I write this and look forward to testing it.

As I mentioned

What in gods name are you guys doing to pop so many mmp's? Was it that one bad firmware version and you just got lucky?? I've got 4 mmp's and NONE have popped. They have been in only 1/10 vehicles, but that did include my hyper SC 4x4 before I sold it. I actually used both a mm and a mmp in the hyper w/o issues... I will say I mostly ran a medusa 4pole 50mm sensorless motor in it most of the time though.. those little motors are more than enough and little beasts..

I agree 100% on your combo. I have an RX8 in my eight-e and couldn't be happier!

The diffs will come filled with greese and the shocks will have 30wt oil in them.

I ran the tekin 4.5 tonight and ran a 15t pinion on it and it ran very cool, could have taken the 16t i normally run on my novak 4.5 no problem.

Default ESC

So I see that there is a big debate about this! I am not big on the ESC's but I was going to run a MM and a Epic 550 D3 4.5 motor. Would it be good or should I get something else? I run the MM 2200 in my 8ight-E with no problem just had to turn it down. LOL

Please only helpful reply's no kiddo remarks

Thanks all

I just seen were that team epic motor is Sensored so what would be the best motor to buy for this truck that would go good with the MM ESC

Barring any odd customs issues, we should have it in and shipping out to dealers before the end of February. (fingers crossed)
