Thanks Will,

I also use an air compressor at 50-75psi to blow out my car after a few runs. I don't know if it's helping but it sure slows down the amount of dirt I drag into my shop!

AtomicPunk, in regards to adding extra bearings and the mods you were making. Just an FYI since you were looking to add additional bearing support. King Headz makes the front and rear center diff mounts that have dual bearings and support the outdrives getting rid of what wobble there is. They also make a chassis that removes a lot of the angle originally in the front center drive shaft as well. I have used their chassis and center diff mounts with dual bearings, and a few other things they make for about a year and a half now and they have performed very well. All of their parts are available at A-Main and most other larger places.

I have looked for a tuning kit for a while now for a second SCTE that I have, and have not been able to find one. I actually did find one place that does, and its K and K Hobby, but they want $180 for it which is rather steep. Thats the only place I have found that shows having any. For where I race at I actually like the 1.0 rather than the 2.0. I have about every part I could want on one of my 1.0's and have a second one that I currently just use for spares if needed, but would like to build it as well but am running into the same problem.

I just bought a used roller that had the tuning kit on it for cheap. For the most part the kit is "no wear items" so it seemed like a good idea to me.

Thanks MPK, sorry for the delay in replying.

I'll check out KingHeadz, as usual, I find these things out AFTER I have invested a bunch of time in redesigning for my situation!

Thanks again,

Simon

Hey Guys! Nice to come across this forum.
If someone has asked this I apologize but, I have a question.
I just purchased and installed the TLR Front Spindle Carriers # TLR334017 on my SCTE 2.0 and it says you need to unthred the shock end an additional 2mm. I run the Dunford setup which already calls for "full plus 2 turns". So, if I unthread it another 2mm it appears to not have a lot of the threads left inside the shock rod ends and I don't want to ruin any parts.
So, should I leave it at the "set up" or go ahead and add the additional 2mm on top of that?
And the Dunford 7/1/13 set up works Awesome!

perhaps this is a better place to ask this
Which of these SCTEs looks like a better deal?
$240 with only stock body
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=201103052877
or
$250
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Losi-Ten-SCT...vip=true&rt=nc

1st has savox 1258, 120a toro, and stock body in so-so shape
2nd looks to have stock electronics, but tlr tuning kit, upgraded sway arms, and dx3e tx+rx.

I would go with the first one it seems a lot better of a deal and it's 100$ less. Think the toro esc is like 150 then the savox is 100$ And the losi tuning kit is 100$ I would go for #1

A 120a toro is about $60, and I can pick up a savox for $50, or a d226f for $20
but I've heard the stock rebranded mmp is a great esc, so it's really just a matter of upgrading the servo.
2nd is only $10 more, and 1st only comes with the truck and stock body. so for not a lot more, I'd be getting the tuning kit, and the tx + rx.
I think I'm leaning more toward the 2nd

edit: I went with the 2nd
