Had a decent weekend racing. I have a couple of issues I need advice on. Coming on the the back straight after a big air kicker over the peak then a soft step down to a slight dogleg my truck wants to spin out half way down the straight if I give it too much steering input. If I get it right it looks like the right front is ballooning at the end of the straight. I am running King Headz chassis with all of their upgrades. HD diff housing with lightened outdrives thru-out. 5/5/3 for fluids. Motor is a 4700 Hobbywing with a rx8 running 45% punch control geared at 14/40. Running cityblocks with stock inserts. Track is hard pack black dirt with dust watered between rounds. Also The temps are alittle high for my comfort. Motor comes off at 180 esc at 3 lights after a 6 min run.
Do I need to go up in the center diff fluid to help with the ballooning? and would gearing down help or hurt the temps? Thanks all

Well from my experiance im running a 2 pole 4800kv tekin and I was at 178 on temps and I geared up and now its at abiut 160 with 70% torqe limit on a mmp rebadge so gearing down I wouldnt suggest try going up and tenp it and take the timing off

Up on the center diff helps if both front tires are ballooning and it might help in the case but if only the inside tire is going then your front diff is controlling that. 7K in the front might help but we find these trucks don't like turning high speed. Like the HRH shootout this weekend. There is a dog leg in the front straight and we all had to just tap the brakes just ever so slightly before going through the dog leg and then we could pick up a little more throttle before the 180. Just part of 4wd SC. These things have too much weight up top and carry a ton of speed and lots of wheel input on power can make them twitchy.

Gearing down to a 13 should help with temps unless the track is big and you are on throttle the whole time in which going up might actually help drop temps. So a little depends on how big the track really is. Gearing up may help reduce wheel spin which will help control motor temps. So the answer is not black and white on this but in general gearing down helps.

Here is a video of the track. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=40-N-s1OkNk
30 sec laps for reg 26-27 for the FAST guys. Not sure if it is just the right front ballooning. I will try to gear up one tooth and check temps often. Thanks for the help.

Default Body clip on 0222 Jconcepts

Hi,

I just finished a bodie of a 0222 JConcepts I use for the first time.* There is not enough space to put the body clip in front. Do you have a tip about it?

Any word on the BCE H-1 chassis?

Have they started shipping? I pre ordered Last Sunday hoping to have mine this week.

I hope to swap over and race the 4th leg of the Factory Tracks Midwest Series with it Aug 3rd and 4th.

I have been top Bmain low Amain with the first 3 and I hope this chassis will allow me to firmly place in the A.

I will check in with Bill to see when chassis are shipping. I know he has been busy finalizing some new ideas.

Us Norcal boys are hitting LSR Speedway and Norcal Hobbies for racing this weekend with the new H1 and 2.0 chassis. We will let you know how we do. Testing has been more than expected. Such a great balance and confidence inspiring.
