What is the most common Tenshock/Hobbywing 411 combo to go with the SCTE? Mine will have the MIP Pro4 kit so it will be lighter than stock kit. 2S only and 13/40. I was thinking the 4000kv version?

Here is a video of the track:

A 4000kv Tenshock motor for sure on that track . You will get more runtime also .

Since it has a lot of jumps if you get a 4600kv you would need to gear down a tooth to get enough spoll up to hit the jumps.

Oh yea i tryed out the Tekno center Front drive shaft wow is it much better made than the Losi center Front drive axle !

And it seemed to make the truck a lot more quieter and smoother.

I ate one in my losi. After 12 race days you have to replace it. The pin on the shaft got flat spots. I called Tekno and they said that's about right for the front center drive shaft, because of the angle of it.

Wear and tear man. The only upside to the tekno over the stock is the weight.

Well i mean yea thats understandable dued to the angle of the Front center axles. But you can use a diffrent hole on the coupler to get extra runs out of it though.

that doesn't sound right this is supposed to be an upgraded part and instead it seems to be wearing more than the stock part I just don't get it I have 95 runs through my drive shaft and they are stock and yes I have to replace them but I can still use them

You can still use the Front center axle even if the bone is warn i mean i ran the stock one for more than twelve runs for sure with no issue. But you know its odvious when you need to change the axle dogbone.

Really just make sure you after a certain amount of runs use a freash hole on the coupler . Check the back in forth play thats when you change to a new hole.

I've run my Tekno axles/driveshafts way more than 20 days and they are still in good shape. The pin on the front center shaft is getting flat, but it is still serviceable.

You can buy 2x losi driveshafts for the price of 1 tekno. Does the tekno last twice as long as losi?

I just installed the Novak 5412 heat sink and this thing is huge! All you guys wanting to lower temps here it is, but you better be good at trimming because this requires a bunch. This thing is the same length as the cases, so you will need to trim out for motor wires, and the center out drive. I dropped the weight from 72 grams to 58 from trimming. Mine was a little tight so I had to spread it out some. I am using a Trackstar 5 turn 550.http://i1340.photobucket.com/albums/...g?t=1366492836

I also bought the Tekno driveshafts and didn't know these things wear out so fast. I also didn't know you can move the pin around to extend the life, good tip. Can you also get a spare pin for it to replace? I picked up the whole set from fwd center diff including front outdrives.

I've seen a few different posts about motor/esc temps so I thought I'd throw in my experience...

I'm running a Revtech 4xs 4800Kv with Tekin Rx8 and SMC 70/7200 batteries. When I first installed this motor with no changes to ESC or gearing, I ran it for 12 minutes and temp'd out just over 300! Yeah, it smelled pretty but still runs perfectly. And no, I don't recommend doing that. After a complete cool down, I reduced to a 13T pinion and removed all timing from ESC. I still couldn't keep it under 200. I could have just kept running it here, but I wanted to reduce it more. I ordered the FTW fan with center diff support and this was the ticket. I'm now running 14T and even after a 15 min run, I can't break 160. This thing is well worth the price. I don't even bother checking temps after a race run of 6min, it just doesn't get hot. I've also removed the fan from the ESC and it doesn't get over 140 no matter how long I run. For typical race runs, it's right around 125-130.
