Kit tires are a bowtie copy (a damn well copy). They are in-between a M2 and a M3 or in-between a medium and a soft in AKA.
They actually work very well.

They are very good tires for a wet track with some loam to it. Very race worthy. They work respectabily well indoor as well. Admitted not the best tire but not as bad as you might think.

S/X Runner-- This is the same tread pattern as the Losi Eclipse 8th scale tire. Sure it resembles a Bow Tie but it is a losi tread none the less.

8th tire

SC Tire

Right on Casper. just to be clear, I wasn't knocking them. I actually like them. They work well from dusty to super loamy.

Those of you who got replacement pins, did you get an email with tracking number when they were shipped or did they just arrive on one beautiful day?

Well I just picked up my SCTE this weekend. I was still undecided about ESC/motor selection at the time so this is what I got. It's a Novak HV Pro with the HV4.5 motor. Right out of the box this ESC is set up for running two battery packs but can be wired for running a single pack as well. I was looking at the Novak 4.5 with the Havoc SC Pro but my buddy has had heat issues for some reason. I know that 4s isn't legal but will 2s be enough to run this system in this truck for a 10 minute main?

As far as I can tell, everyone is running 2S with various motor/ESC combos. 4.5T and 5.5T seem to be the common denominator. Some guys are playing with 3S and doing some crazy speed but for legal racing, 2S is the magic potion.

I've been running the 14mm rotor the last two weeks. It's really not a very big difference in speed, but it does reduce temps and battery consumption a good deal. Went from a 14t pinion to a 16t as it decreases the KV of the motor. Went from using 3800mah in a 5 minute qualifier to around 2900mah. Once you change the gearing, there's only a moderate increase in torque combined with smoothing the motor out a good deal. Makes the motor feel a lot like the Castle 1415 2400kv motor actually.
