I was thinking the same thing.. though I'll still stick my my hitec 985mg servo's, I run them in most all of my 1/10 vehicles and in my 1/8 buggy with great luck. Last forever and great price to start.. VERY LOW amp draw.

is that the HS-985MG? Do you race with that as most say u want under .10 for speed on it in this truck and i run the TRX 2075 which by no means is fast and want faster

Heres the servo you guys should try out its quiet its fast/torquey. Titanuim gears $35.00 ! The replacement gears are cheap too. Ive had zero issues with it centers fine and keeps it no need for a extra BEC/Cap. I run it in the SCTE and my 2wd SC.

yes for model info, I do run a crazy servo on my 8ight-te JR 400+oz super fast just cause its such a big vehicle but ya in everything else I have the 985mg's. keep in mind those ratings on servo's are as good as the manu wants them to be ;P Any of them you can run a higher voltage too if you feel it's a bit sluggish. The 985mg is not sluggish though when I added my dex410 to my fleet I think I did just swap a different servo in my scte since I started running it what 3 years ago now? I needed one quick and ended up with a different model 7954sh also a great servo so far. I will say my 985mg I put in the buggy is still strong and kickin rear in the 410 I've run the same 985mg in my 8ight-e for 3yrs too :P The newer 7954sh does have better specs for about the same price, but I don't notice any difference on the track racing.

PS 985 is 170+ and .13 at 6v as long as you can edit your settings, but still imo great even if you cant.

That looks like a decent cheap servo:

Yeah i know it's expensive... But somehow to me the feel it gives me is like I'm getting bang for the buck. It feels like I'm controlling The Terminator instead of an off-the-shelve servo, if that makes sense - it actually *feels* like the best-of-the-best
I wouldn't recommend it for people on a budget. But if you're looking for the best of the best, I'd say this is it.

It is its quiet suprisely and it has a long servo wire also. It uses the Futaba horns on it .

plently of torque and speed also. But no need for a Extra BEC or a Cap.

I would say though it has more speed than anything especially with a Alum horn on it. No plastic gears all titinuim gears in it.

The thing i love is the alum case under it stays really cool.

Thanks a lot... This track I run on is such a mixed bag - not a clue what to do but the stock springs are not it... It's said that the TLR springs are better then the stock jobs, so Ill have to start there... Very new at this - but love it
