I've got a 3656SD 4700Kv with the SCT Pro Esc on backorder, and I'm just trying to figure out what battery I need to get with it to get decent run times.

Something in the 6600mah 65c range would work well.

These are great batteries and will get you about 10-12 minutes depending on track conditionds and how you drive....

Great price for this battery but would a 2S2P be roar legal? Does the 2S2P mean its a 4 cell total?

it won't be roar legal, but not because it's 2S2P. hobbyking simply hasn't submitted them for ROAR approval and i doubt they ever will. i'm pretty sure there are plenty of 2S2P batteries that are ROAR approved.

I dont think ROAR has a rule against 2S2P packs ? Its still a 8.4 volt pack , the 4 cells are wired up in parallel . If they were wired up in series then it would be a 4 cell pack .

Gens Ace doesn't make a 7000mah 50c battery.

Hmmmm...here in the US the only place that I know of to get Gens Ace batteries is Hobbypartz.com and they don't stock that size.

That battery should work okay.
