Default Motor for 3S

Been running the RTR 2800kV motor with 3S batteries. Geared 16T for 10th scale track, 20T for big oval, this motor has been great on 3S. Most of the time it runs around 140F; I doubt it has ever seen 170F.

I want to keep running 3S for now. Anyone with experience running any other motor on 3S with this truck? Other than Castle 2400kV? Want to be able to run 15 minutes without worrying about motor temps. Thanks.

Ive got a mate with a Stampede 4x4 who runs a Tenshock SC401 3500kv on 3s and he gets around 25mins run time with a 5000mah 30-50c pack, so with this motor in a SCTE 15mins is easily possible

any suggestions for 2.2 all around wheels for the scte? i'd like to get a set of pl speed hawgs on some 2.2 wheels for pavement. i tried some 2.2 rpm revolvers but the wheel nut will only get about 1/2 way on the threads. other than that... it cleared everything. i'm looking for something without needing mods.

-thanks-

I want to give major props to Losi for this truck. I totally love it. I just raced it for the first time this Saturday. Came in 1st place. I hadn't raced in months. This truck is just so stable and easy to drive. I'm running the stock setup and it's great. This is the best truck I have driven.

I just saw and tried the RTR on 3S for the first time tonight. WOW! I have been running the ARR on a track (but not racing) on 2S for over a year now, and it blew me away how much more grunt there was on 3S without even trying.

Probably too hard/expensive for me to swap all my 2S LiPos for 3S. I'll just need to become a better driver.

It almost seems like our truck performs at its best on 3S, But we know how ROAR is "trying to keep the sport affordable...but has more higher price items on its approval list!!! But i do think all you have to do is set the esc for 3S and go at it!!!!!

Default MIP wins at OCRC surf City Classic

Hey guys had a great weekend with the MIP/Losi/TLR Pro4 at OCRC's 5th annual surf city classic. Ended up having a flawless weekend with the MIP Pro4mance packed SCTE with 3/3 tq's hitting 15 laps each qualifier unlike anyone else out on the track. The trucks average top 10 laps were tenths faster than 2nds places fast lap ... Also I ended up walking away in the main without contest. Chalk another one up for MIP and the Pro4mance package. http://rcinsider.com/?p=35256

Just got my SCTE and was wondering what are the must have hop ups or parts to replace that break? I have carbon shock towers and aluminum shock caps. I'm running a Tekin RX8 and a Pro4 4600. Truck seems exremely fast! Can't wait to get it on the track.

Lightened/hardened outdrives, serated wheel nuts, and blue locktite on the lower shock screws. Get the spring kits too.

Also, look into Tekno shafts if you start busting the stock ones.
