What gearing would you recommend? Basically what i need to hear in order to make the decision is whether the 4600 heat can be tamed...

Thanks,

Get the 4600 Gear indoor 13-14 out up to 15..... have a blast

I race on a fairly loose dirt track. Big track though. I was in a bit of a bind, I couldn't get the usual M3 (soft) compounds i normally run.

Any advantages and disadvantages to this compound?
Its all good throw it down and rip!

Thanks.

I just got one a few weeks ago, geared at 14 and it's the most fun I've had in a long time. Plenty of speed and punch and the temps are very manageable!

Very strong motor, I just recently switched to the new Revtech 3800kv, 16t pinion. tekin rx8. HOLY CRAP, totaly out performs the tekin 4600, I was very shocked.

Just a thought

It gives you another tuning option. It is not a situation where it is always better or not. If you are in a high grip situation the chassis may start to flex to much due to traction. This will make the car a little twitchy on turn in. If this happens in high traction conditions then put the long brace on and it will dial out some of that and calm the car down.

Judging by Amain yes that is a mod1, why not just test fit it on the truck?

That is a mod 1 pinion, it's the one used on the ve8 1/8 scale, it'll work just fine.
