The 4000 pro4 will likely run cooler. If u r still having heat issues ,Try 3,3,2 in ur diffs.
I'm running the RX-8 with the Pro-4 4600 and the Nano Tech 6600 with 13t
Pinion. Also changed all the drive shafts and axles to Tekno and I have the full MIP por4formance kit with 553 in the diffs.

Temps hit 185 on Saturday during a 10 minute practice. Little concerned, not sure if this is too hot.

Just ordered an Intergy heat sink with fan, hopefully this helps a little.

Could be the weather also, it was 105 hear yesterday.

Thanks for the help

Anyone running a protector on their SNR chassis? If so where can I get one?
I had an SNR chassis on my RC8e and it was an amazing chassis and lasted forever (primarily ran on rough outdoor surface). Associated and Jconcepts makes chassis protectors.

I run nothing but carbon fiber chassis and use skid plates from T Bone Racing.

Hey ten scte owners, what do you think the best motor is for this truck? I'm considering buying one and I primarily drive on a larger 1/8th track. I've heard some good and bad about the pro4, sounds like it doesn't live up to the hype. The other popular one seems to be the castle 1410 but I'm wondering if that's a little under powered. Any opinions would be appreciated.

I like my HobbyWing 4000kv. I run it indoor and out. Just ran it at the big 1/8 track that ROAR had the 1/8 nitro nationals at (LCRC) with no problem.

Tenshock SC411 is good alternative to Tekin Pro4.

Are kidding me? Listen up bitch slapped, I'm not your wife who seems to be financing your hobby. I searched the sites and didn't get a definitive answer, so I posted a simple question to the point. Kiss my axi.
I wont kiss you axi. but let me say.. I AM SORRY.. I was having a bad day.
my wife doesn't support me, but its cool, I was wrong !!! and you lashed out,... I would have done the same.. I hope I can refrain from being an ass again. Please forgive..

I can tell you that on an 8th scale track with some technical areas, I was a little disappointed with the castle. It works great in my rango, but pulling the Losi around, it felt weak. Just upgraded to the pro4 4600 with RX8 and I don't think I could be happier. It was a good balance between the speed and punch needed on my local track.

I considered the hobbywing, tenshock combos, but decided to support my local hobby shop and am quite happy with it. Not sure I can say it is the "best", but I like it.

I was able to knock off about 1.3 seconds off my average lap time from the castle to the Tekin. Running 14t temps came off at 155 after 8 minutes, where I was having a bit of trouble keeping the castle down with similar set up.

Cheers!
