We tend to use the rear adjustments more then the front ones so if you are only going to get one get the rears.

Here are the settings you get with the different insert options.

Default Body mounts alignment question

My truck is 3 race days old. I just noticed today that my body mounts are off 1/4" on the stock body holes that came with my scte. My other newly painted body that has holes cut for scte are off the exact same. Does this mean my chassis is bent? I can't remember if the fit was perfect on the kit out of the box, but feel it wasn't this bad. What are the signs of a bent chassis?

Any input is appreciated.

More than likely the rear shock tower is bent . Both the stock and upgrade aluminum towers bend after a good hit . I suggest getting the carbon fiber towers .

Just looked, they don't appear to be. I just installed the TLR tuning kit yesterday, so I know the towers are good. Also, the front bumper looks normal, but when I put either body on, the body looks like it is leaning to one side. Not level.

That is why I just purchased the TLR kit and installed. Thought it would fix this. I am a decent driver and can't remember what would cause this, but my memory isn't always perfect.....lol

Default A few photos

I have a new stock chassis I bought on ebay and placed it on top and took pics on a level angle. The rear chassis looks bent to me. Thoughts?

Possibly could be slighlty bent, which would throw off you bodies a little bit?
When I use to run mine, I saw a lot of ppl tweak brand new stock chassis, my buddy clipped the pipe in a right hander not a very hard it and it snapped the chassis completely in half right where the front diff sat. I just dont feel the stock chassis hold up very well.

Will the battery tray stock velcro straps hold a 4S battery? Don't worry, I'm not going to use it on this truck, but I need this information.

Thanks guys. Guess the stock ones are not very durable. Any recommendations on chassis? I'm not trying to start a chassis war. After reading the thread the KH stands out to me as it changes the front drive shaft angle. But I am open on anyone. Might be able to pick up a TLR slightly used cheap from a friend.

Also, should I swamp chassis before running? Will the changed angle hurt anything if I race tonight before swapping chassis?

I am not sure it will fit around. The velcro strips from the 8ight-E will though.

Most of the upgrade chassis allow the use of a longer rear brace which helps with this. I prefer the TLR chassis with the rear torque rod brace but there are many other great options out there.
