why is it that all the nano batteries have the bullet plugs and not direct wired...i hate these bullet plugs and would rather not run this type of battery but if they are decent batteries i might have to start thinking about switching

Several of the fast guys at our track run the 6600mAh 65C Nanotechs. I can't wait to try mine.

Yeah i only have one nanotec 65C and i wish i had bought more. Good luck to you guys and the race to get them in your cart first when they are in stock again. These things sell out almost instantly. I've been using the regular turnigy 40C in my practice runs and the nanotec 65C for races. The 40C's do get a little hot after a run with my tenshock 401 4600Kv motor.

Default Servo

I run ae1015 in all my trucks. I've never had a problem.

Default Ryan Dunford Setup questions

Ryan,

I am running your setup from 2/29/12. It is working well even on an outdoor track. Do you run your shocks emulsion style? I know you run a R10 from Orion whereas I run a RX8 but what current limit do you run?

One more thing, I recently had a bearing fail in the rear diff housing right before the main of a big race. How often do you replace bearings to prevent this from costing you a race? Better yet, how do you check them?

Yes very similar servos. Not many servo's out there with those STATS and price point. JR makes some great servos as well as there are good hitec, Futaba, KO and airtronics servos. Just a matter of how much you want to spend. I run the RX8 pro 4 4600 with a JR 8717 but a lot of guys run the Spektrum S6040 and have no problems. Most of the problems are with the Castle speedos'.

I can answer two out of three for Ryan
He runs emulsion shocks.
He actually has a RX8 in his truck right now and runs the same as I do with 80% limiter. That is as high as I would go with the limiter. If you are on looser dirt and looking to take away some wheel spin you could go down to around 60%

No need to change them. I have 14 nano's and haven't had an issue with stock bullets in 1/8 and SCTE.

Not if you set endpoints correctly. I will agree when it's at full throw it is high, not bad at all when backed off a little.

I have a sheet somewhere when I tested draw...back when I had the MMP, spektrum issues. I'll find it and post

Another one to look at is the ProMatch lipos. Have had real good results so far with the 2 I own. It is really hot here in Texas now and these have performed very well.
I have Nano's, gens ace, venoms, and promatch.

IMO, at the pricepoint we can all get nano's, gens ace for. If they last 6-8mths of hard use. It's a no-brainer money wise.
