Just got done charging my battery from my 10 minute main yesterday. 1 practise lap, geared 12t pinion, 30 degree on can, no timing in esc, Novak 4.5/Havok pro, 60c/5500mah battery and I put back 3895mah. I think a 10 minute main is max for these trucks unless we start using 8000 or more batteries.

Is anyone else having trouble making time?
Check to make sure your sensor side endbell has not moved.I've seen 2 tekin 4.5 scx4 motor loose right out of the box. 1 died of heat exhaustion, the other was tightened before it was run. Always check to make sure the sensor side endbell is tight.

yeah jason. lol some 6000mah packs will make 15 mins.

not to sure if the esc/motor combos can go that long though.

For all who are interested in replaceing the screws that hold the ring gears and spur gear too the diff housing (stockers are 1/16 heads) .

The screws for the Ofna Hyper 10SC are 2.5mmx8mm and are a perfect fit , best of all they use a 2mm hex so no more stripped screws !

Im thinking that 3cell might be better. Our track is large with a 175 foot straight.
The truck on the other hand felt awsome in the infeild. It cleared everything and didnt washout everywhere on the dusy surface.
Sad to say though that it is down for the count with a broken front arm, shock top, and a bent steering turnbuckle.
Manual says 16 tooth for a 4.5 and 17 for a5.5!With the RX8 and Tekin sc4x4 5.5 I ran a 17 and it ran a little warm155-165 but it just flat would haul!I went to a 14 tooth for an small indoor clay track and it was perfect on that small layout with temps at 130 deg!
If you can keep it from getting too hot ,try a 16!!

Default Diff Gear shafts. PLEASE HELP

I ran the truck in our first points series race here in Oklahoma and it was dialed! I won the A-main! Great first race! I am Running a Tekin RX8 and scx 4.5 with Thunder Power 5300MAh 65c packs. I have put 4 packs in practice and we ran (2) 6 minute heats and a 7 minute main. I am running 5-5-2 in the diffs. I decided to pull apart my diff to go with 7 in the center for more acceleration and sure enough my gear shafts are grooved! Parts are not available until June! How much longer can i run before failure? Has anyone found a replacement? I dont want to have to hang up my truck until June after winning the first points race!

Is the MMM sensored ? I know one of the castles is sensorless.

yeah but at $11 per diff that is rediculous, but may be the solution until we get our items from losi / aftermarket folks.
