I would not suggest them as a permanant fix but something to keep you runnin until the new pins arrive.
Nice good to know... I just made some... Its nice having a machine shop at your disposal

I got mine from RCHQ and I have the diff pin issue. From what Ryan is saying, SOME of the trucks shipped with the wrong pins. So it seems it is the luck of the draw if you get hardened pins or not.

Actually Ryan said you MUST call Horizon. They do not know who got the trucks with the bad pins, so you need to call them and let them know you have bad pins.

I went ot the race at NorCal Hobbies today. There were 8-10 SCTE's in the 4wd SC class. Most of them ran without problems, but I saw one guy break a rear arm on his first lap. Another guy broke a rear arm on a TEN-T E conversion in the 1/10th Truggy class. Both of them split right at the mold line on the outside hinge pin. S/X_Runner showed me a set of diff pins that had 3 packs on them. I measured .006" wear on that set.

S/X-Runner's SCTE with the CC 4 pole 3800 was ballistic today. I was very impressed. It seemed to have just as much power as the 550 4.5s, but it was running around 180F too.

Maybe my motor wires are a tad long and the bouncing around in the truck is pulling it out. my wires are not tied down to the truck.

Try a Super Soft sensor wire. I really dont like the stock Stiff one's they include in their stuff.

Just tried the SC10 diff pins and they do work...

Part number#9829 SC10 gear diff rebuild kit.

Also the pins I installed a few weeks ago had little to zero wear on the rear pins. Just now getting to the center diff which also had replacements.

are they only a temporary thing or a long term solution to the diff pin issue?

Thanks for the part number, did you measure to see how much shorter these pins are?

That's where my rear A-arm split. I slathered it with CA glue and vice-gripped it shut over night. Ran 4 packs on it yesterday, still holding up.
