Losi 1/10 TEN-SCTE ARR 4x4 Short Course Truck Thread

Vote for Losi here. Love mine so I bought a second. PLANTED!!

Hey guys. OK I'm not a noob, I don't race but my SCTE has only ever been track driven, but have a few questions first my set up SCTE (first run) I swapped out the diff pins with what Losi sent me. I have STRC Shock Towers, Center Diff Upright, shock caps and front and rear chassis braces. I also have T-bone front and rear bumpers. I'm running a MMP w/1410 3800kv using a 16t pinion, a Savox SC-0254, Spektrum DX2S, Novak Glitch Buster, DE Racing mud guards and wheels with Proline M4 Snipers, everything else is stock. Truck runs good for me at the track Mike's Hobby Shop Carrollton TX, I get some heat issues should I go to a 15t or 17t pinion to bring motor temps down. Also noob question here what order is 5,5,3 front center rear or rear center front? I am going to switch out to oil instead of grease. I read on here about using black rtv to keep the diffs from leaking but where do you use it? This is my first gear diff vehicle that I have had to get into and tune with. So it seems like 5,5,3 is a good set up? I love this truck but it's time I bring the diffs up to standard. Thanks in advance for your advise!

With no active cooling I wouldn't push the 1410 over 15t (ie fan on it) Make sure in the ESC all timing is set to min or zero. 16t is ok with out a fan if you dial in the esc just right.. at least from my experience.
5,5,3 is front, center, rear this is how most list diff weights
When the diff cups are apart the metal pops out of the cups, put some grease or black rtv on the space where the metal diff out sits against the plastic housing. This is where most leaking occurs.
Wouldn't hurt to shred some weight for lower temps as well. Sounds like your setup as is maybe more than the stock rtr weight. (see early posts on how to hack up

I've seen this on other TLR drivers setups so I have to ask cuz I've always wondered. Running full droop front and rear plus 2 turns out, what is the 2 turns out for

Ryans truck is the yellow one.

Its where the end screws onto the shock shaft. Screw the end onto the shaft to the set length then back the end off 2 turns. More or less make the shock shaft longer.
