Can you guys tell me a good gearing for the pro 4 4600kv? I don't wanna run crazy hot, and I'm on a small outdoor track (Pegasus) thanks...

Oh yeah I'm running an 8th scale t8 right now..
I'm running 1900kv on 4s, would a 2650kv on 3s be a better setup if i stay with 8th scale electronics thanks.

2650KV on 2s actually runs great...run between a 21T and 24T depending on track size....21 is max on the stock motor mount without some finessing... I have a 24T on my...ballistic!!

I'm with you, I've messed around with my rc8 on a small indoor track with a tkein 2050kv motor on 2s and it was struggling big time. I don't see how a 2650kv motor on 2s would run fine, but hey thats just me.........

Cannot compare to an 1/8th scale unless you dropped a 48 plus tooth spur in it......

If you do the math...you end up with up very close to a 4600KV with a 14t when comparing to a 2650 with a 24t. I have both motors...I used the 2650 for indoor last year with a 21T and it was great...

I will be testing them back to back on a larger outdoor track to find out the performance differences and the current draw per minute difference..

Gearing and kv. My friend ran the castle 2650 and a castle mmm on 2s in his slash with losi buggy shocks (bit heavier) and that thing fast and ran all day. Don't forget to calibrate the esc as he forgot and it was a turd at first.

I wanna say he was using a 14-15 pinion, could be wrong

What track do you usually run at? I tried to buy that one, but you beat me... I ended up getting another scte same setup with a few more hop ups for like $25 less...

I understand what you're saying because it's more of an apples to apples comparison since everyone runs different batteries. But that being said, NOBODY runs them without batteries, so to get an accurate RUNNING weight, you need to weigh it track ready, complete with body and batteries
