I just used some screws that fit from my toolbox. That is the racers best friend, a TON of extra screws! $1.99 for a pack of 10 at amain! Great screws!

help please and sorry for the novice question.

i recently changed from stock to tekin 5.5 motor. initially used the stock 18T spur gear and it heated up. than changed to 14T and a lot cooler but it seems i have a lot less power. struggle to clear triple jumps. with stock did it easily.

its nice its sensored so a lot smoother throttle but lost power.

advice? thank you in advance.

RPM Toe Gauge is not a very good tool for toe and is not going to give you good, accurate, easy to read numbers.

On the MMP it is called Punch Control and works kind of like Current Limiting on the RX8 (kind of).
Another feature to try on the MMP is Torque Control.
When I used to run the MMP for racing I would start around 12 for Torque Control and go from there.
There are some who like one feature over the other so play around with them and only you can say what works good for you. But use one or the other because they don't work well together.

IMO 5.5 is not meant to clear triples and is not enough motor, especially for the SCTE

i have a tekin pro 4000. should i use that instead?
i assumed the tekin 5.5 was an upgrade over the stock.

I did a little weight comparison today with a RTR and my fully outfitted TLR you name it, if its out its on mine.
-TLR tuning kit
-HA shock bodies
-HA balls
-TLR Chasis
-HA outdrives
-HA chasis braces
-snr top plates
-lundsford TIT links
Needless to say i was surprised they within a few grams of each other
Not a bad thing i was just surprised a little.
mine

stock rtr

Lol, nice observation. Totally missed it and was like, what the hell - no way?

edit: although it could've been 'tare:d' away, but even if it was it just doesn't add up. Just the chassi alone is what, 70g less? Motor is a good bit lighter aswell.

Unless I am missing a joke, it doesn't matter what the box weights. The scale is on the box, the box is not on the scale. The box is just being used to raise the scale to allow the tires to clear the showcase.

In first picture with his hopped up SCTE the box is on top of the scale.

It's really plenty of motor, and you don't have any idea how big the triple is.
