I've seen them, but definitely not going to try it. Rather get the BCE, TLR or KHZ chassis.

The aftermarket chassis has better flex and makes the truck handle better. I've only ran the BCE, TLR and BUMP and they all 3 handled better than the stock chassis. I chose the Bump but they are all 3 great.

Ive been running this chassis in pre-production prototype form for months now, and I beat the hell out of it. I intentionally lawn darted the big triple at Outback Raceway repeatedly. I would also hit the table top in the middle of the track, transferring to the table on the back straight, coming up short half the time, nailing the pipe or side of the table...all in an effort to break it. It wouldnt...not to say that a WOT run into a curb or some other type of abuse wouldnt break it, but I definitely wasnt kind to my prototype and it took everything I threw at it and kept coming back for more

What chassis are you using? Keep in mind that will make your truck super duper stiff (and my experience has been that that brace doesn't like to have the chassis twist). Seems people are looking to keep some movement in the rear end. The Losi rod seems to do a good job of letting it twist some, while keeping it from bending front to back. Some are using the stock plastic again if they have the BCE. And that brace is cheap, light and works well.

I've been using the AKA wheels with great success (for the Slash, and dremel out some of the support ribs). Now that AKA makes them specifically for the TEN-SCTE I bought some of those but haven't mounted any tires up. I suspect they'll be just like the Slash versions. Very good, seem to keep their round well, and don't crack. I'd suggest the AKAs, stock, or DE (probably in that order).

Has anyone found a replacement(aftermarket or alternate manuf.) for the diffs? The stock SCTE diffs are complete garbage and I would love to find something else with outdrives that don't wobble all over the place and piss fluid out even after the glue trick.

Also, who else suffers from ridiculous overheating with this truck? I have the same esc profile on my RX8 as the top setup sheet on the Tekin site, and I'm running the Pro4 4600, but the thing comes off well over 200 degrees after a qualy. Did the same with the SC4X 4.5 and Ballistic 4.5 motors. Pinions from 13-18 have been tried with no luck. Driveline has been inspected for binding on multiple occasions.

I'm running 5/5/3 currently. I need to calm down the on power steering a bit. My truck pulls a little to hard to quick causing an over steer effect (Best way I can explain it). Track is very high bite, blue groove. Would going to 7/7/3 cut it down a little without sacrificing to much off power steering? Or should I just go up in the center to 5/7/3?

Also - did you get your tranny smooth again? Usually it gets notchy like that if you didn't push the washers and gears down well enough. You can also break it in by alternating putting the left/right side of the truck down on the ground and run it at partial throttle. It should right itself again after some use though.

That's your best bet....classic how guys comment when they haven't even seen one. Makes their opinion absolutely worthless.
