I am pretty sure the stock piece is alum as well. The huge benefit to this one is the tolerances for the bearing fit are much better and this takes some of the slop out of the steering system!

Also - what works well is to move the post up on a hole in the mount, then move the collar back down a hole so that essentially you have one more hole available sticking out of the body to put your body pin into.

I thought the body would clatter like hell, but as long as your holes aren't too wide (so that the posts sit snug into the holes) then it doesn't make any crazy sounds or doesn't really move much at all. You can always add a foam sticky ring under the body to snug things up.

Meantime, I have been running my Traxxas RX/TX on the SCTE without any issues. By the way, I tried the Spektrum on a different truck, and had the same cutting out issues.
Make sure your end points are set on your remote.Or itll draw to much juice and cut out.I actually had to go from a savox to a xp 1015 to cure my bbrown outs.when i would set my end points with the savox i barely had any steering. Now i have a ton of steering throw with the low consumption servo.

thanks for the info on my rx/tx problem sounds like alot of people have already narrowed the same issues down. Now I just need to decide what rx/tx to replace it with and get the most bang for my buck. Until then I am switching out with my traxxas 4x4. I hope this fixes the problem I felt like throwing it on the ground and jumping up and down on it like the little girl in walmart that didnt the barbi she wanted when it was giving me fits lastnight. thanks for again for the help

Yes

It includes the RX also for $99.00
The only thing i dint like about the radio is the small steering wheel so i changed it for a JR radio wheel and it fit and its bigger ! Both of the radios use only 4 alkulines so its light but you can use a battery pack also.

Heres the MX3-X for $179 with the Receiver also its the 2nd pic.

I just hardened my own; got tired of waiting. Pretty simple painless process. Only did it on the center outdrives so far. Put about 5 pacs through them. So far so good. Time will tell. Once I am ready to rebuilt rear and front diffs, I will do it to them as well.

I have been off the boards for awhile and was wondering if hacker or others could answer a few questions for me.

1. Unfortunately I have cracked my TLR chassis, it started between 2 unused holes for the nitro build. What is the warranty on these, and how would I go about getting a replacement? BTW it was purchased at WCRC approx 6 weeks ago. I also cracked a lower hole on my front CF tower, not sure how.

2. Are the HA steering balls and new ends worth the upgrade? Seems like the stock ones wear easily and I'm trying to clean up the slop.

3. Anyone running without the front sway bar? Im trying to get more steering radius on this thing.

4. Are variations of the Lane setup still the choice for indoor high bite clay like WCRC?

Thanks in advance
