Middle of the road. I don't want cheapo stuff I will have to replace every other raceday but I don't have a silver spoon either. I can spend some extra cash on quality

Well that's how I looked at it when I got into the hobby. I got the Tekin RX8/Pro4 4600kv combo with a savox 1258 servo. I really wish I would have went with the Futaba 4pk, but I got a awesome deal on my DX3r pro. I love amains protek lipos, now they have a 6400 70c, but I've heard the nano-tech from hobbyking are good as well.

There is no mention of these actually reducing steering slop (Ryan and Casper on here said the Losi part would). So while they might be the same since they said it was a servo saver tube, I dunno... $14.99 is cheap though

So without knowing what the new parts from Losi are exactly in the steering, it could be that these are a waste of money, or it could be that these are used in conjunction with something Losi releases and will cut weight. Dunno
All I know is they are half the weight of the steel pieces and hard anodized. Good enough for me.

They came back in stock. My understanding is there were not enough F/R outdrives to fill all the back orders but there were extra center outdrives. If your LHS or online store had them on back order they should be getting them this week or early next week. Not sure when the next batch after that is scheduled. So basically you should see them hit shelves but in limited quantitites.

I see that Losi finally has a pic up. So yeah looks like you'll want both.

Beleive it or not I raced with the DX3E for nearly a year, granted it doesn't have all the bells and whistles but it worked flawlessly then I upgraded to the DX2S () and it worked just well. Other racers made fun of them specially the DX3E but it managed to finish Amain podiums on almost every outing. After a few years I thought it was time for an upgrade and now use the DX3R Pro the response and performance of it is noticeably faster and you can fine tune just about everything, aside from having to run receiver caps with my "e" cars the Spektrum have been very reliable and trouble free for me.
