is anyone having trouble with the pinion lining up with the spur?

my pinion has a little big of a longer neck on it so it is only engaging the front half of the spur towards the front of the truck.

just wondering if anyone else has seen this...not sure which make of pinion it is...i got it with the electronics in a trade.

thanks.

anyone thinking about a chassis wrap/protector for this beast? I'm waiting for my esc and motor to get delivered and started to think there must be something to put on the bottom to protect it. I know Upgrade RC has some body wraps, but did not see anything for the chassis of this truck.

Default 8ight titanium turnbuckles

I ordered the 8ight titanium turnbuckles and 4mm ends for the truck...to make a long story short, the ends only fit the rear long turnbuckles. I just realized this is the set i bought and it says for the 8ight:

2 - 4mm x 60mm Titanium Turnbuckles (Steering)
2 - 5mm x 60mm Titanium Turnbuckles (Front Camber)
2 - 5mm x 70mm Titanium Turnbuckles (Rear Camber)

I guess i need some 5mm ends as well...anyone know what length i need to buy?

Hotbodies pinions work the best IMO... the AE ones I tried are to long. The Ofna ones also are a little long but do mesh, but if you are anal about meshing 100% get the HB's.

On this track, I was using a 2650 motor on 3s geared with a 16 tooth pinion. This setup works great on large tracks, but is too on/off, and I would prefer a 4.5 on 2s for smaller tracks. Had way too much fun

Great vid, Thanx for sharing, new layout seems a bit more Short Truck friendly ,may have to go out to Rev wit the Losi and give it a spin!

I'm using a Novak pinion/Ballistic 4.5. My solution was to dremell the top of the set screw down so it would go forther down the hole and then dremel a groove in the motor mount for my hex wrench so I can tighten the set screw as low as possible. A ball wrench would mork but I don't think you could get enough torque on it. I now have 100% contact with the spur.
