i have ran the 4000 on what i think is small indoor track and it just did not have the motor i wanted. 4600 all the way hell if they made a 5000 i take it

What springs are everyone using? I just switched back from my 1/8th scale shocks, and need more cushion than the stock black ones. Also anyone have input on emulsion style shocks? Are they worth the hassle?

Get the new spring kits. They are much better then the stock "ten" springs. Emulsion are well worth it.

what grease or oil do people use to redo wheel bearings and such,
also im running the novak sc system from my jammin fer now but my batt. packs seem to swell a little.any info would be muc appreciated

As you read from many posts made by forum superstars, I would also recommend Pro4/Rx8. But with an 8yr old I would recommend a used Yamaha YZ85. He would tear the track up with that bad boy and for probably the same$...LOL...but overall if you do decide with the scte and you pick any of the recent recommended combos, the only thing that truly makes the difference is the person using the controller. Practice...practice...practice...

What novak setup are you running and what type of Lipo's and whats the C rate on them. I've noticed when I have a low C rating lipo and a good ESC/Motor combo it will heat up and swell the Lipo's cause they dont have a high enough discharge to deal with the High current draw from the motor.

I have a couple 3s Turnigy 25-30c and they swell up when i was doing speed runs in my mmp/3800 setup in a stadium truck.

Try the Turnigy Nano-Tech 6000mah 65c-130 Lipos from hobbyking thats what alot of people run that dont want to spend a arm and leg on Lipos. I own one and its great.

My 5 year old son has been racing the scte for 6 months and finally broke a front arm last weekend. Bone stock truck. With the epa turned down to 50% it's almost impossible to break this truck.

the new nano-tech's are much nicer than the older hard cased turnigy's. I have been backordered on the 6a 65-130's for a while. i have a few 50-100c 5.6A, so for now they are good. CHEAP CHEAP ppl. good to go.

I just bought a used SCTE and am trying to put the Phend ROAR nats setup on it. When he lists the shock length is that measuring from the top of the shock to the center of the eyelet? Or is it to the bottom of the eyelet?

Any changes suggested for a tight indoor track?

Whats the min lipo mah and current rating is required for this truck ? I know at my track at least people run 2s lipos.

And i know this is a heavy sc does that affect turning much ?
Like for instance like the stock setup ?
