Default Rear Arm Design

I searched and have not been able to find info one this. I recently bought a set of replacement arms for my SCTE. I noticed that the outer hingepin area of the replacement arms is smaller and weaker looking than the original. In the photo below, the one on the right is what originally came on my truck, the one on the left is what I just purchased. I've actually got two sets of replacements (bought at different times) and they both look like the one on the left. So, when were these redesigned? I'm assuming the larger one my truck came with was the redesigned part? If so, bummer that I have two sets of "old" ones now...

Thanks

My front arms are like the one on the right. The rear arms do not have hat much of a bump around them, though.

Does the Losi pre-painted bodies that are available for the XXX-SCT fit the SCTE?

For example like this one: http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...d-Body-XXX-SCT

I wouldn't get them, I have seen a lot of people snap those towers, same way with the jammin cf towers too and a couple people have posted pics of them snapped on here. I haven't seen any people snap the losi one though (currently using and have been for awhile.)

I noticed some play in the rear ring/pinion that seemed a little excessive. Anyone know what size shim I should use?

I use the shim in this kit to shim the pinion gear.

I have had 3 failures on that precise point. 1 front right, 2 rear right.

Granted there were crashes involved. But the crashes when the rear ones broke weren't something spectacular at all. Nice to know that they've been reinforced!

The holes line up but you will have to do a good amount of trimming on the rear wheel wells... it does not look good in my opinion... really long opening for tires in the rear and the rear end looks a bit "stubby"...

im unsure of the size i used but i just had to do mine last night. i had to shim mine closer to the ring about 2-3mm. i also figured out why i could never get my center lightened outdrives to fit. the metal inserts never got glued and they were being pushed in.

Just thought I'd drop in and see what was going on and if there were some new things or must haves for the truck that are new since I haven't been posting. Doesn't really look like I've missed anything I've still been running my truck hard though and racing twice a week. Really looking forward to putting a Viper Copperhead system in my "backup" truck. I got a great deal on a used BCE chassis so I put that on it too

Is anyone on here using a sphere TC speedo on this truck? I noticed on the first page of the thread that it was 1 of the recommended speedos. I was just wondering if anyones running 1 with any success or will it hold up? Or should I drop the coin and get a rx8? I was running sphere tc with 550 4.5 on my sc10 4x4 seem to work fine but I know the losi truck is a lot heavier. any help would be greatly appreciated.
