I will do the 4000 if I have to but would like a little extra rip. there have been times were I wished the 3800 castle had a little more on the top end.
last time I tried to gear the castle for a little more top end (16 tooth pinion) I fried my dean conector from both sides.

thanks thats what I was nervous about if I ran into a situation where a 12 tooth was needed I would be in a bad spot!!

the real thing is I need more top end than I was getting with my 1410, just a little bit tho. no need to knock back the throttle with EPA my figure knows when to stop pulling the trigger. lol. I race on big tracks and small tracks so I will be using a range of gears to make it right for all the tracks.

I'm not sure but I can tell you my rx8/1410 didn't like the 16 tooth pinion thats for sure. I am using about medium punch, no timing on mine. no lipo cut-off.(well set-up for one cell close as I can get to no cutoff) funny thing was not the motor or esc was hot, not even the battery. but I sure melted both sides of the deans connector on the negitive side

how long did you run that 16 tooth in it and have you had that problem at all??
still wondering what went wrong

Yup! For you it`s just playin and tinkering then? I do machining for a living and just like a mechanic, all the cars he works on are dialed an his is a heap to get him to work LOL Every one is like bro you could make this and that ,but at the end of the day don't even want to look at a machine .. Do want to mill a chassis from scratch some day just to do it,from a solid so the kick up and side kicks are milled in and not stamped..Just for tinkering sake !.Cheers!

Been running 16t for 2 months now on 2cell. I have enough power everywhere with this heavy scte but could use more top end on the 120ft straight. Motor temps 160 esc 120. Never had any problem with connectors or wires.

Yep,
Got 3 of these and they are great.
Although they are 2P (balancing is not as precise as 1P), they are screaming on my MMP 1415/2400Kv.
Looking into 3s now, what would you recommend with MMP 1415/2400Kv?
Have a good WE,
V

Default Lightening scte

So would it be fair to say that most people that race the truck have lightened it up? And to the people that have lightened it up are not disappointed in the outcome as far as performance.

Thanks, yes I've tried the shock positions, it helped but still not where I want it, did the emulsion shocks last night, and going to shorten the wheelbase.... I think I might have dialed out too much brake, and I'm just coming in way to hot into the corner.....

On another note, continued my center diff noise hunt, I still can't figure out what it is, I thought it was the spur-changed-still noisy, swapped the robinson pinion-still noisy, diff gears brand new, bearings in good condition......played with mesh and nothing....

Shorter wheel base will give less on power steering because u have more weight transfer to rear of truck but, shorter wheel base will turn sharper.

BBQ are you sure it's not the normal SCTE noise? If you're trying to get it to sound like your old SC10, it's not gonna happen, lol. You should hear mine, I bet it's a lot louder than yours, lol.

I went from 7 in the front to 5-it helped-, lighter front sway bar to no sway bar front-helped, and yes the biggest difference I noticed was tires, rebars and anything similar pushed too much, went to grid irons much better, but still pushes....
