I have my front windshield drilled...nothing else. It keeps temps down within range. It was extremely hot here this summer.

Can a couple people tell me how they mount there shocks on the towers and amrs as in what holes? Because I don't want to look through over 300+ pages to find this.
Also I couldnt imagine racing at a track on 3s and 4s. 2s is plenty fast and makes racing take alot of driver skill anymore would be overkill in my eyes.
What KV motors do most people run on the track 3400kv - 4800kv?
Sorry I dont race at a true track, just a track at my house and my friends house we dont have any outdoor tracks for SCT around here unless I travel 80-150 miles away which is a bit much

And THAT is a lot of where the problem lies - when racers are allowed to 'choose', safety goes out the window, expense goes out the window and the result becomes a hobby that is less affordable than it was 'last year'... AND, call me niave, but I believe that we DO have control over what ROAR publishes for rules - so in turn I would ask you what your involvement in the working/operating system of ROAR has been???? IF you don't like a system, why not work within it to change it??? Emphasis on WORK!!!!
And if you think about it spec class is almost as expensive as mod with electronics and batteries. The cars are a little cheaper but in the grand scheme it all cost about the same. It's actually a hot topic at our track this week.
And you asked about ROAR, I do work for Viper R/C and one of my many jobs is product designer this entails me working with ROAR and iFMAR on getting motor and ESC approvals as well as look, feel, specs and all the other cool stuff that goes into make R/C electronics.
Anyone who has been around 4wd SC since it's beginning, when ROAR said no 550 motors. Quite a few guys stood up and said, no we want to run 550's. We tested the 540's and there are heat issues in the Jammin, Hyper10 and Slash 4wd. People are not going to want to replace motors every couple of weekends. It was a HUGE debate here and very heated. Only a very small handful of guys didn't want the 550 rule. However they still said no 550's despite the overwhelming response from the racers. So what, we still ran them and now look at it.
Now lets fast forward here a few years. Where are we now? 550's are now a thing of the past and wow 4 poles are the hot ticket. But if you are manufacture and designing ESC's and motors where are the specs to design a 4 pole's? You would expect they have this info already available, but guess what they DON'T!! However how can a motor be ROAR approved without any build specs. Do we magically make these numbers up, send the motor in and hope ROAR approves it? No, we have specs we work from, but there is none. We could have had our sensored 4 pole out around the same time as the VX4's but without specs, we are not tossing money away waiting for them to get with the program.
So I guess I am trying to help change it, but no matter the amount of work that goes into making something there also has to be something in return. I'm not bashing anyone, any organization or ROAR. You asked what my involvement has been, I have seen it from a few perspectives, that's my honest opinion.

@ Chris K
I dont really care for most of your responses.
Most of the posts you replied/shot down were in reference to guy's wishing their local tracks rules wouldn't quit be so strict/Roar specific and enable fellas to run "CONSERVATIVE" 3s set ups via offical spec approval if nessasary.
I nor anyone never stated we felt entitled to a dam thing but I surely do dissaprove of some of Roar's rules more now then ever after jackhole comments like yours.
I surely will not make any attempt to read anything you wrote espcially in any monthly rag. MEH to you and Roar

i like roar..i think every losi should be equiped with a little speaker that roars as it passes the driver stand since its such a beast and intimidate the other drivers.

Anyone have problems with the stock motor mount shifting during a run? If so, what is the fix?
