Losi 1/10 TEN-SCTE ARR 4x4 Short Course Truck Thread

hi guys just wanted to get on and confirm every one thoughts about the pins and shim and blocks in the gear boxes of the 2nd shipment onwards trucks
i have had mine for over 4 months now and race 2 x per week and have put countless lipo's through it
pulled the gear boxs apart for the 1st time last night and removed the old gease only to find perfect pins (in fact not a mark on them) and square blocks are perfectly square and even the shims have not warn 1 bit that i can see
makes you wonder if the gease does a better job then oil ?
in saying that i am pulling it all apart to build up a spec truck with the TLR tuned chassis and TLR tuning kit with the heavy duty lighten out drives
so looking forward to having a new old truck again

oh yeh the question about buying another 1 , yeh i have that sitting on my work bench as well and its a shipment 3 truck so should be better again then a shipment 2 truck
win win situation i feel

going to run 5 / 7 / 3 oils in the diff (but i did love how it felt with gease in there from factory)

The chassis is the 3.7mm carbon made by SNR and yes it does have the stock kick-up. It has been modified so the pack is positioned flush to the chassis and brought as close to the centerline as possible. The stock battery box was modified as well.

I just recently got the Tekin Pro 4 4000kv motor. Its paired with the MMP. Works flawlessly, With a 14T Pinion, On an Med-Large Track. ESC Temps are around 100*, Motor 150-165 after 10mins of running.

I know some of you like the extra weight of this truck, but I am having a hard time making ten minutes on a 6000maH battery. I have a heavy trigger finger, there is no doubt about that. But how light has anyone been able to get this thing so far? I have been shopping for light weight parts, but I am wondering just how much a difference it can make on this chassis.

TLR Tune Flex Chassis will save you a bunch of weight. Then get the LW Outdrives, They make a big difference as well.

pm bondonutz for questions as he has gotten his truck stupid lightweight.
cut your battery tray
lightweight outdrives
carbon towers
chassis
lightweight wheels/tires
titanium buckles
titanium hinge pins if you can find them

either snr or losi hinge pin holders
trim the rear bumper with the mud flaps

I'm looking for a little setup advice. I run at Nor-Cal hobbies where the Nats ran this summer. On a normal club race weekend the track is not watered and it is very hard pack with a bit of dust in the corners.
I'd like to reduce turn in and the truck will occasionally traction roll or kick the rear end out off power.
I started with Dakota Phend's setup from the nats. I have changed the following:
Diff Oils: 7/5/2
Shock Oils: 27.5 F/R
Ride Height w/ body on:
F: 25mm
R: 23.5mm
Camber:
F:-3
R:-1.5
Rear shocks: Middle top/ Outside rear
I've tried running Soft Enduros F/R and BowFighter M2 F/ Soft Enduro R. I also bought a set of the Losi Eclipse to try in the rear, but didn't have a chance to try them out.
Would going to the purple spring in the front help slow down turn in? Any other suggestions?
Thanks,
Chris

anyone have a partnumber or link to the shims needed for the front and rear diffs? I'm not seeing anything listed on amain in the correct sections and I dont have a manual.

Ordered my TLR tuning kit on sunday from amain.
But just making sure, do the shock caps come pre-drilled for emulsion ?
