Ryan , check the pins in the diffs . On one of my trucks the pins were wore and allowed the gears to skip .

I would say no. I don't think any of Novak's current ESC's can handle this truck or anything similar. I've seen so many go up in flames this past year in anything from 2WD buggies to SC's.

Yeah, you want zero offset wheels for this truck.

A Havoc Pro won this years Catus Classic in 4x4 SCT, I'd run a fan on the speedo and the 14mm rotor though...

I`ve seen many Havoc Pros burn up because they can`t handle the weight of the SCTE .

My system exactly and the ESC has given me fits since day one. I have been shipped parts for free and then sent the whole system in to no avail. I can't even run my truck now because of it. I have emails in to Novak and received no responses. I have called and got no answer. I like the guys in tech but it seems they are too busy to get to me right now. Pretty frustrating to be honest. Running Novak right now means no racing for me. I have something in the works for the end of the month so hopefully the racing drought is almost over.

ahhh that stinks, I have always run the MMP w/ the 550/14mm rotor w/ good luck. I did burn one MMP up at the AMS, but pushed it to the limits.

The new LRP iX8 and the Orion Vortex R10 Pro look dialed.

I have seen this same question several times on this thread: the answer sadly enough is no, they won't work.

As far as which Novak ESC to run: I would think a GTB would work but not for sure. As for me there is an MMP waiting for me till I order my SCTE. I know the mmp has a worthless bec but mine worked great in my Jammin for 2 years so I must have gotten a good one. Its still going strong, so good for me!

I run a Novak Havoc Pro with a Tekin 4.5. No problems at all. I dont run a fan on either the motor or the esc and I have run in a daily high of 90+. I think the ones you saw were gearing it according to Losi' recomended gearing of 15-16 pinion which is way to large. I run a 13 or 14 and its perfect. The Havoc pro is plenty heavy duty enough for this truck.

No the rear XXX SCT wheels dont fit the 4x4. I tried them and they hit on the arms/ hubs.

Nut - Your right, I was thinking scte wheels on the xxx sct, but then the sct would be to narrow... Also are you running a fan on your HAVOC Pro?

Gearing was not the issue . Our customers all ran 13 with 4.5 and 14 with 5.5 motors . After most went through a second esc I recommended they switch to Tekin and been no issues since then .
