You could also get a ESC for about that from Novak or the Speed Passion Silver Arrow V2 ESC will work and is a cheap alternative.
i want fast more~~~
originally i plan to buy RX8 + SC4X 4.5r for this truck.......but you said CC 1410 is faster and cheaper..........you made me confused

I'm reading a lot of posts about 4.5 550 motors. I'm running a Neu 1509 and an MMP setup in mine. Blazing fast with a 15t pinion and runs about 100 degrees. Is anyone else using this setup out there?

It is faster lol and cheaper you just have to keep your eye on eBay. I bought the 1415 (motor by itself) for 99 bucks NIB shipped and the 1410 for 89 shipped with the ESC.

Just trying to give you some options that will work, the 4.5's are fast just not as fast as the 1410 I tested.

@45 sec in this video is my Jammin with a 3.5R, you want fast get that motor. It's faster than the 1410 on 2S. I raced on a 1/8th scale track last summer with this motor, it's insane. Plug your years...

[QUOTE=SaladFork;8744530]I've been loving the CC 1410... For how small it is, it's been faster than any of the 4.5 cans I tried (The SP V10 is very close). We also ran the 1415 on 3S today at the track, started 11t and could have used a 13T for more strait speed.

I also have the Tekin 5.5 and have ran both 2 and 3S, it's works awesome on 3S, 2S also works fine but I had more fun on 3S .

Check out the size and weight on a few different motors. I would recommend the 1410 all day.

ME
Im putting an mmp sct w/1415 and i have roar legal 2s 5800 battery packs...can you estimate what kind of run times ill be lookin at?

WOW IM SORRY I REALLY MESSED THIS QUOTE UP SOMEHOW

I am not sure, today was the first day Raegan tested the 1415 motor in his truck and it was on 3S with an 11T pinion. Ridley would be the man to ask he has ran the 1415 on 2S.

This is what I was putting back into a 5000mah pack with the 1410 after 8 minutes. It was ranging from 2500-3300 mah in 6 min quals and 8 min mains.

You really shouldn't make statements like that as if they are fact. In fact, I ran a Novak ballistic 550 with a MMP all last season and had not one single issue. I do know that lots of them did, but for whatever reason I did not.

I think it was due to me NOT downloading a buggy firmware update and because I use an analog servo, but for whatever reason, mine is absolutely wonderful. Smoothest esc I have ever used.

i see people running the mmp and the 1415 combo, the description says up to a 6.5 lb truck , would i be happy with this combo and if so could someone give me a part # for a pinion that will fit the 3.2mm shaft, the shaft does seem a little small compared to the tekin shaft wich is 5mm , will this combo live in this truck with everything else in the truck due to its weight?????

Towers carbon? Do you need them? No, but they are a bit lighter and stronger. The rear hubs? Need them? No, not really. Chassis brace? ... It's all about what you want to spend. One thing I will say about the Losi aluminum is it's quality, you get what you pay for, prices are higher but they are nice.

One hop up I want are the aluminum spindles.
those hopup pivots don't look like they have any more options vs the stock choices. Stockers look more than durable enough. I doubt those carbon shock towers offer much more than a few oz savings. If they drop front spindles, I'll go for those the rest looks unnecessary iMO. Thanks for the thoughts though. I'll wait till parts wear or break before bothering.

You don't "need" any of the options the truck is more than capable in stock trim.

the option pivots offer the ability to change antisquat kick up and toe with the included eccentric plastic inserts. Exactly like the ones for its bigger brother the 8

Here's my TEN-SCTE, it's still work in progress but it's getting there. Can't wait to get her running. I'm going with Tekin SC4x 4.5T and RX8 ESC. Geared 15/40 for now. I keep hearing too fast, too slow so I'll just have to see for myself.
