The air bubbles in the oil typically make it about 5wt lighter when running emulsion.

I still think the whole thing is bunk personally

my sc10 don't use bladders on it, I do like the way it behaves, just not sure if it's the way to go on a heavier truck. but I sorta got to think if the pros are all about it, it's got to be worth a try. I will probaly try it without the hole in the caps and go from there. might have to try it before the next series race, I'm up on second by four points and this will be the last race of the series. got to pull something outta my ###, as I'm making a habit of finishing in second.

would this shock setup be good on a bumpy track??

Ok I have a question. I just got done practicing with my new Pro4 4000kv and after around 7 min I came in and checked temps. They were at 176. I have the RX8 setup with 10deg timing, 65 on the limiter, and 10% drag break. I am running throttle profile 3, motor type 1, and standard RPM settings for timing advance. I have it geared at 13/40 with a 65ft strait. I have a race tomorrow night, and I would like to see if I can get the temps down a little. Any advice?

Think of it this way... If you don't win you can blame it on the shocks!! I remain neutral on the bladder vs. emulsion but leave it up to personal preference. What works for some, might not work for others.

lmao, at least then I'd have an excuse

I guess I'll give it a try before hand and see how it does.

I guess I can't complain really, leading points is about as cool as winning a race, even if you never won a race in the series your leading in.

maybe go up a tooth, should be similar to the castle 3800, I only ran a 13 tooth pinion on a really small track. I also agree with bmain.

Yeah, thats a great battery, but that price sucks

I bought 4 for 199$ shipped 3 day UPS. I get emails all the time about them coming in stock, if you backorder them it shouldn't take long to get them straight from hobbyking.com

I've tried to use pro set-ups and never really had good luck with that, I usally stay pretty close to stock and change whatever the truck tells me it needs.

I am a decent club racer ,but not a tuner by no means. If I ever get good enough at racing, then I can see using the pros set ups.I too have my own set ups very close to box stock.Guys that can run multiple laps within a second of each other..Dang ....(Not Meee) Do benefit from subtle changes .

I'm going to stab myself in the throat with an emulsion shock if I read for the millionth time "where should I drill the hole in the shock cap"
