I gutted what was in my SC10, Tekin RX8 / Tekin 550 5.5 motor. For my first run I put in a 17t pinion, and temps were good, but I might try a 16t as I don't think I can hit full speed on our track with the 17 as is. ...still, the thing lunges with an immediacy that I could never achieve with my AE, even with the slipper "locked down". There's a triple at the local track I could never clear that is now doable.

This thing really does drive a lot like my 8ight 2.0, only with a little bit quicker steering.

I've got a roller you can have cheap ($175 with some spares). ...needs a belt that doesn't slip, and the rear diff needs rebuilding (again). ...and some way to stiffen the chassis from flexxing so much when it lands jumps. ...oh, and a way to prevent the slipper from glazing over every heat.

...I have PayPal.

Can't imagine why I wouldn't want one of those. His first choice for a screen name was "roasted slipper man" but it was already taken.

Yeah, for the long slots in the back I used the standard cutting disk, and for the "detail" stuff I use one of these:

http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1...=SPM3384187202

I finish it off with a fine tooth file for deburring all the melted lexan and cleaning up the edges.

Not yet, but thats a damned fine idea. It will help me get over all the Sangria I had to drink last night during the chick flick with the wife. I can't complain the least bit though, since my new racing budget was officially approved!
