Opinions on which way to go....
OK so I am trying to get back into RC after about 6 year break and am starting from scratch. My LHS pushes Losi stuff so Im leaning towards either a 8ight, 8ight-e or 8ight-t. Here are the options Im considering.
Buy a 8ight-e race roller and slowly build it up, get radio gear, batteries and chargers etc. Probably the most expensive out of the bunch and would take the longest to get up and going since I would prefer to get higher end parts. The buggy is either $529 or 569, the LHS is sold out and couldnt remember how much it was
Buy a 8ight RTR ($579) or 8ight-t RTR ($649) and sell off the RTR chassis and motor and use get a Tekno V4 kit ($129) and basically be where I would be with 8ight E but with a DX3R radio. Only thing is I would have the cheaper shock caps. Im not sure what else is different in the RTR and race rollers.
I would prefer a truggy so I may got with the 8ight-t if I go RTR/tekno since I last raced buggies but have never had a truggy.

Do they race a lot of truggies in your area? I love mine but thats my problem...not very many people race truggy so it may be something to consider. The hot class to race in southern california is short course truck (which they didn't have 6 years ago)...you may want to think about that? Good luck!

truggies are more expensive, but man they look fun!!!

The LHS says the truggies usually run with the buggies. I need to ask around a bit more though, although Im sure I would fit in better with a e-buggy.
SCT is out of the question right now. They are hot here too from what I can tell but Im just not that crazy about them. I deffinetly want to get back into a 1/8 scale buggy or truggy right now.

Just get the E8. It's a good car out of the box. No need for Techno stuff.
