Looking for a good track and suggested tires and pinion/spur gear ratio.

best thing to due is to google search for a local hobby shop in your area.

They should be able to help you out.

That said a sledgehammer approach would be to upgrade the esc+motor with a brushless setup.

Im guessing you got the Yellow XL5 ESC? Same thing happened to me with a Traxxas Bandit. Ended up getting the Hobbywing Brushless combo and was all good. I had spare motors and esc's sitting around and tried out them first to make sure it was the esc and i narrowed it down to being the esc. Im your wanting to go the brushless look you could look into the Hobbywing Combos or the Castle Sidewinder Combos.

thanks guys it was the motor, it broke because I was to hard on it and didn't break it in but thanks for all the advice. I will use your advice in the future and thanks for all the help. and I'm thinking about getting brushless, but first I need to save up money for it.
