t4 help

hello. just bought myself the T4.1 factory team kit. put it together. running a MMP with a castle sct 3800KV motor. geared 19/87. i used to run a 5700 KV motor. this motor seems so slow. do you think i could get away with gearing it up something like 25/87 without problems? and why did castle change there wire colors around. all their SC are black white red. the new SCT 3800KV motor is black red white. when i wired it black/black white/white red/red the motor ran backwards so i wired it outside wires together and middle wires together. then it ran right. will this cause me any problems or is this normal? thanks for any advice. maybe i should just get the new 1406 5700?

hmm

6 teeth on pinion is a big jump;

you may want to try 22 first and then check motor temps after 5 mins.

Brushless motors do not like heat;I'd be wary of anything over 150F (you should be able to touch for 3-5 secs without screaming:).
