They are used to shorten or lengthen your wheelbase. The base setup tells you the number of spacers to use for that setup and you can add or remove as you need.

For information on what this does to the handling of the car, there are several guides out there that are really good; JQ, The Guide, Hudy setup guide and I believe ther is a XXX Main one as well - google is your friend here.

Yes, I will be converting a mbx7 to an eco. I've converted several mbx6 nitros to electric using the eco stock battery tray, servo mount/receiver box and motor mount. I've made a chassis drill template based on the holes in the eco chassis. Using a drill press I drill and countersink the required holes. The only difference is the chassis length and one of the battery tray holes can't be drill due to the extra slotted hole in the nitro chassis.
I will post pics after I comlete the mbx7 eco build.

Oh yes, I would like to see that! Are there differences in handling between your converted mbx6 and the factory ECO?

For you guys running an external BEC, has anyone tested BEC/receiver interference based on distance between the BEC and receiver?

I converted 2, for my brother, which he let me test and they feel very similar to the stock eco. The chassis length makes a difference. I prefer the shorter chassis. The latest one I converted had a BCE chassis and I like it better than my stock indoor eco. It feels extremely light on the track and weighs in at 6.5 lbs without a battery. I've read several times in this thread that the BCE chassis is a must and couldn't see how they could make that much of a difference until I tried one.

Had a BCE for my XB9 and it did make a world of difference. Kind of waffling between converting a 7 and just waiting on the ECO version.

I managed to make the A-main at the CRCRC midwest champs with the eco. The car was great all week. I didnt stray to much setup wise. I wish i could have made a few more setup changes to see how it worked out. But he car is so reliable and smooth. It was a great week.
