Post 1/16 e revo vxl- lipos

hey im fairly new to the rc world and i've just purchused a mini e revo. I'm looking for a little more speed and power around 40mph to 50mph. What batteries should i be using or can i get away with just 1? I also won't run time to be around 20-30mins if possible. And what gearing would i need?

i run 1600Mah batteries from Orion. with a pair of them i get about 20 minutes run time, and i carry a second set in my pocket. im currently running 28/55 gears and havent really cared to go to Lipos yet. 14.4 over heats the ECU from time to time.

if you ask me. Lipos are a huge step the MErv doesnt really need, but its like adding NOS to a car thats already fast... you know its going to be fun! lol

im in the same boat with you and can suggest a parralel battery connector (i believe that that one doubles run time i may be wrong) but this way you can spend a lil less if your on a budget so that you can go with lower mah on lipos.

look on stormer hobbies the have 2200mah lipos for $30
