Which bodies for 1/8 scale or SC Trucks or Slash are .060" Lexan?
Got a Proline F-650 body for my son's Slash 4x4, and I'm very impressed with its sturdiness. It's advertised as being made of .060" Lexan, and it does feel thicker than the stock Traxxas Slash bodies I've seen. (It was for a Revo 3.3, wheelbase was a little shorter than the Slash's, but I made it fit . And after a number of crashes and end-over-end tumbles yesterday, it has no cracks or breaks, just the usual scuffs.
I'm sold on the .060" Lexan. Thinking about getting a new body for my other son's Slash 4x4, it presently has a stock Traxxas Slash body that has seen better days. Won't stay on without body clips, and sometimes even those don't help.
Looking thru Tower Hobbies' and RC Planet's lineup of bodies, a few are advertised as .060" Lexan, a few others say .040" Lexan, and most say nothing at all.
Might be kind of a vague question, but does anyone know a way to find which bodies are .060" Lexan? Or have I pretty much exhausted the possible info sources?
