get a nice set of rear tires if you're going to race. if you are going to race, see what the guys at your local track are running. and for ease of maintainance, if you really want to spend the cash, get the v2 shocks, they're easier to bleed and rebuild than the stock shocks

You can also get the associated titanium turnbuckles. They are great. I got them and haven't had a problem with them. The blue is also a plus. They might be cheaper too.

junk the rtr electronics. havent seen 1 person survive with them not having binding or braking issues at random (or every time they 'boot up' the car-turn it on)

I plan on using the 2.4 remote from Assoc. I have a Novak Havoc BL system for it.

+100 on the turnbuckles, the stockers bend really easily. I'm running a futaba 945 servo in my b4, got it for 15 bucks shipped, in mint condition. it's got a speed of .11 @6v, and like 100 oz of torque

associated cva's would definitely be a good decision, during a race this past summer I got rear ended and the dogbone popped out, and my qual was over.
now that I have the cva's and punisher turnbuckles, there'll be no more of that
