The driver is sweet and should be mandatory for the class.

More tires is cool, maybe stadium truck will fianally disapear for good.

That interior piece might actually help SCT trucks jump better. It'll reduce the amount of air trapped in the cab area off big jumps, and cut down on the 'kite' effect.

People who don't like the new PL and JC ribbed front tire, go back to running out of the box RTR spec stock class. The mod SCT stopped being about 'scale tires' when Goosebumps came out. It's still a WAY more scale appearing class than cartoon truck, er stadium truck class. And no one can tell what the tread pattern, under a full body, on a moving truck is, from the drivers stand.

Tracks should adapt the RCGT rule about realism.

After all this is "model car racing".

You get points for adding realism to your racer. (If you add something unrealistic you should be docked points.)

Back to RCGT you can add up to 3 points per event for realistic items. (disc brakes, interiors, wipers, exhaust etc.)

For SCT it could be the addition of number plates, interior, window nets, etc.

As far as the front tires go.... who's to say?

The driver is something that a pro painting service could mass-paint and sell painted. I would want my driver to look better than my body because the driver would last longer than a body, and I don't really feel as particular about the paint scheme on the driver. I'll sign up on a painter's list for one (that's an invitation).

What purpose does that driver do for my racing ?

I mean if you like that sort of thing kool , but for me its just dead weight and a waste of money...

Kinda like the rear bumper on a SCT ....

I guess if you're going to get really technical the driver is keeping all the air out of the cockpit that in theory would reduce the parachute affect? Of course it would raise the CG a tiny bit but I can't see it hurting performance in any way. The majority of racers won't run it, but all the guys crazy about the scale looks of short course and realism will certainly be interested. Same goes for the ribbed from tires, if you are all about scale dont buy them. If you want to race and think they will help, give them a shot.

Ya it's dead wieght and there'e no need other than it looks good but as far as performance, 99% of us on here, yes 99% will never notice any ill effects from running the interior. As good as we all think we are, we're not

as far as the realism goes look at what they do in real sc racing. in 2wd class they cut the front tires so they make a ribbed pattern for more steering. so to say this isnt scale, look more into the subject before you say that this isnt like fullsize racing. real life racing you do what it takes to win and "making tires" is something that happens all over rc racing, so the fact they grove tires into ribbed tires is the same concept behind these new ones. ive made my own double dee's and sevens long before they were ever available out of 1/8th scale tires and made them into sc tires. fullsize sc tires are nothing close to what traxxas or hpi has released on their trucks, the Maxxis, BFGoodrich, and Kumho tires are modeled after consumer tires not the actual sc racing tires. they cut them different from track to track just as we change tires from track to track.

Unlike our 2w trucks, their 2w trucks have brakes on the front

Looks to me like the driver is for those who like to bash in the yard. The tires are looking cool.
