Default What Radio System Should I Get?

Hello everyone
I was wondering i have a HB Ve8, and was just needing to know what radio system is best bang for buck.
I have a ace rc 1015 servo already and a spectrum dx3s system but i dont like spectrum anymore so i want to go with a different system.
My price range is between $0-$400
Thanks

You can go the Spectrum radio like either DX3R. It is a good radio. Or you have another option of the new Airtronics M11x which I recommend cause of its functionality.

This would be better asked in the Radio and Electronics forum...

But the DX3S/R are about the best out there for the money...

could look into a used KO system too

Get a M11x and a Hitec servo.

Use the Ace for target practice.

No offense here, and there's nothing wrong with it, but it sounds like you already made up your mind before asking. I do it all the time myself and just need someone to back me up.

I think a more interesting question would be what should you buy for:
1. <=$100
2. $101 to $200
3. >$201

For myself, I have FS-GT3's for under $100. (Got to use a FS-GT3B and came to the conclusion they gave up too much to put the LCD on the thing and I'm looking at the car, not the screen, when running.) For tier 2, I have Futaba 3PM's. And for tier 3 I have to admit I don't own anything, but would probably stay with Futaba since I have a small fortune tied up in R603FF receivers.

well the thing is the reason i was already thinking about the m11x but havnt heard anything on them, im a begginer racer, and am deciding on the m11x or just buying a dx3r transmitter, because i already have the reciever.

Well from your personal opinions does the ace seem better then other servo's for you because i used it and it feels like the best servo i have ever used.

Any suggestions?

And where could i buy the cheapest dx3r transmitter?

thank you

Default M11x vs DX3r + Grid RC Drop Down Wheel Adapter(A Must See).

I own the DX3r and also the M11x. Both very nice radios- but keep in mind the M11x weighs about three times the weight of the DX3r. This adds up on long practice days.

As for the DX3r, Keep in mind that Grid RC just released their Drop Down Wheel Adapter- which drops the wheel down to the same axis as the throttle and brake trigger- making the overall feel of the radio- much more natural- for many racers. Here is the direct link. If you go with the DX3r- I highly recommend the Drop Down Wheel Adapter by Grid RC.

PS. I like everything about the M11x except it's weight. Many racers replace the stock battery with a LiPo in order to help reduce the weight- but the radio is still more than two or three times the weight of the ultra lightweight DX3r.

The DX3r is a hard radio to beat in terms of Lightweight and now comfort- with the Grid RC drop down wheel adapter- which many racers say- makes the radio feel more balanced

I'm ordering a couple Savox servo's for my Xray and Hyper TT thru Nitrohouse.

They seem to have good reviews.....coreless, digital and a reasonable price compared to a JR or Futaba.

As far as the DX3R goes, check AMain, Nitrohouse, Tower and Stormerhobbies and go from there.

I have had both DX3R and M11x, I hated the 3R the throw on the brake sucked just the radio did. I always lost my bind.

I picked up an m11x and don't plan on changing any time soon every thing is so smooth in the radio easy to use.

I'd get a Futaba 3PKS 2.4Ghz FASST, but I've always been partial to Futaba.

With receiver you'd come in under 400.00
