Default Converting RC8 to SC8 or SC10?

I'm wanting to convert an old RC8 into a short course truck. Maybe 1:8th or 1:10 scale. Could someone post links to any helpful threads? My biggest question is the wheel/tire size. Are they the same for both 8th and 10th scale SC trucks? Thanks

There is a thread on RCTech that covers this topic. Today you have alot of options to complete your conversion. All that you need to do is get SC8 bumpers shock towers and mounts. The tire size of an 8th scale buggy are very close to SCT tires. You have two options for wheels to use actual SCT tires. They are the SC8 wheels which are not exact but people were able to mount SCT tires on them. DE Racing has a replacement wheel for the SC8 that is 2.2/3.0 so that the SCT tires fit well. I was really thinking about installing 17mm adapters to my vehicles so I could use these wheels.

The only issue you will come across is rules for racing if you plan to race. My local track doesn't allow 8th scale conversions. I'm sure if you modified your RC8 as I mentioned AND ran a 10th scale power system with 2s Lipo he would allow it.
