Inexpensive servos??

I've tried all the high end servos. Airtronics, Futaba, JR, Ko Propo, etc.

Just curious if there are any other servo brands that I should look into. I just bought an AE 1015 servo so I'm curious how it goes since I've heard good reviews. Hitec seems to be hit or miss for me, but I heard quality has improved (and their prices went up.)

Any suggestions? I run 1/8th so durability and quality is crucial.

WHOOPS, please move this to electronics forum. Doh!

How are the Savox servo's on reliability ? I was thinking of picking one up myself .

pyro18t 12-06-2010 08:16 PM

Amain has them, but I get them through my hobby shop for about $10 less than Amain.

I have been using Savox since they became available this summer at my LHS. They have been very reliable for me, and very fast (.06 transit) I think I only paid $65 for it, and they look nice as well. I couldn't be happier with it so far.

Also very happy with the savox servos, got now anew one, 1271, crazy specs with 0,11s and 20kg on 6v, on high voltage this one will be crazy, all for a rather ok price. I tried three low price brands a la hobbyking etc and all either broke or didnt center from the beginning.

hey Y'all
will that servo mister G posted drop into a stock blitz as a steering servo?I haven't got my blitz yet but in my reading on it the majority claim the stock servo SF1 is crap.
If not what would it take to make it work?

On most occasions I buy a high end Hitec (7955TG, 7940, 7950). Which I have never had a servo fail since I switched brands. I have had no experience with it but, I heard Hitec has some of the best customer service in the hobby. But I recently decided to try a Savox because of all the great feedback. We will see how it goes. The Savox servoes are considerably cheaper then a equivelant of another top end brand.
