with the Rc-monster 808 mount you can continue to remove the center diff easiy out the top rather than having to take the whole damn mount and everything loose from the chassis. plus you can grab the rc-monster 808 battery tray that will bolt right on your chassis and then youll have a nice clean setup.

Yea, the idea is nice, except the material is T6065, and the face bent easily.

No, the 808E uses a different mounting position and holes. If your converting get the Elite motor mount. I love my elite mount in my conversion.

I used Robinson pinions and my car is fairly quite. No gear wear as my mesh is easy to set perfectly.
These mesh well with Xray:

A local driver told me that the Elite mount screw holes strip out. Anyone experience this. Maybe he had an older mount of something.

@ Pulse / All ,

on a buggy with a Tekin 1350 + Rx8 and 6s to race on 10 minutes mains and 7 minutes qualifies are 6s 2800 mah enough on an average track ?

With my " old " 1900 + 4s I was able to race 10 minutes mains with 4s 3300 mah so I assume that 6s 2800 ( geared 14 on a Losi ) would be enough, correct ?

Thanks

Yes. For a 10 minute main you don't need more than a 2650 which should be good enough for 13-15 minutes on most tracks. Probably could make it with a 2200 pack as well. I normally only burn about 160-170/minute under most situations. We had a track change recently and my burn rate shot up to around 200/minute because we had two very high speed sections. Still would have made a 10 minute main pretty easily.

No way. Operator error or rare defect. It would be pretty hard to strip this mount with operator error. Maybe lack of threadlock+bolt backing out+big crash could strip one.

I have a mount for the 808 and D8t. Both are solid. Use Permatex Blue threadlocker and don't overtighten. Let the threadlock do it's thing, not torque.
