Kyosho Ultima DB or SC?

Kyosho Ultima DB or SC?
I did a search on the DB and didnt turn up a whole lot. It was mentioned that it only took a few parts to change the DB into an SC, is this true? If so what are those parts.
Also, is the DB somewhat competitve, or is it just a basher?
do they make aftermarket parts for it?
I love the look of the desert buggy and I am on a budget as well. seems like a logical choice.

it will be used on a track, but I have no intentions of racing competitively.

I dont know why the DB gets a reputation as a basher. It is essentially the same car as the SC just with different bumpers and a different body. In fact its these differences that give it a clear advantage on the track. I run a DB at my track against all the other short course trucks and when the wind is flipping them over on the big jumps, my car sails nice and flat through the air. If you do plan on picking up a DB make sure your track will let you run it in the SC class, some dont.

So either way you go, you will be just fine.... Kyosho makes quality kits! You will be very happy with either one!
