No, of course not! But 13.5 and up, smoothness of power delivery isn't the most important characteristic for your speedo.... in which case all the other advantages of the Tekin make it the best

1. Fair price
2. Size - smallest
3. Tunebility - second to none
4. Upgrades - nobody beats tekins firmware/software upgrades done via hotwire
5. Customer Service - second to none

Once power delivery comes into play, which is around 10.5 or 9.5, the tekin no longer holds the advantage.

And the kinetic is good as well.
What kind of tunability does the LRP and SpeedPassions have?

speed passion is able to update software
you need the lcd box to upload the software......but then you can use the lcd box in the field to change all the settings.....punch, drag brake, boost, boost timing, dead band, speedo timing, lipo cut off....no need to drag the laptop to the track...very end user adjustable

You can do all of those with the Tekin as well without a laptop. But if you DO use a hotwire, you can really get down to the nitty gritty on the settings... FAR FAR FAR more detailed than the ~9 prepackaged settings you get with most other speedos. You can get down to programming things like RPM ranges in which the boost operates. The RS is 10x as programmable as its nearest competitor.... not only that, but you can program your own micro settings, that require a hotwire... and then save them as a "model" if you will... on the speedo that you can change later right on the speedo itself so you don't have to bring your laptop.. you can program it all ahead of time.

But the RS Pro is just over the top as far as pricing. I was leaning towards just the regular RS but I want to see what you guys have to say. I'd like an esc that I can adjust timing, boost, turbo, etc.

Thanks
Eddy

PS: Plan to run with a D3 13.5
I love the RS in my 22.

I have a RSPro in my SC10. I like the tunability of it. Just wanted to know if there is an alternative, something not as pricey. Anyone use the mamba max pro? Seems like the CHEAT is similar to what tekin has in their hot-wire with boost and turbo. Any thoughts?

Thanks
Eddy

huh ??

with my hobbywing v2.1 120A esc. I can also program the turbo within a specific rpm range. and also the delay that you want before the turbo comes in. and the turbo slope, and the rpm increment per 1 degree dynamic timing
and I also can program several profile's on the programbox.
I have no need for a laptop at the trach to change all the settings that you can change

I do not think that the RS is 10x as programmable as its nearest competitor.

before you make such statement, please do some research before you make your statement.

a lot of speedo's can program almost everything at the trackside without the need of a laptop/computer

Not mine, but if you do a search for "shorty pack" in the for sale section a few come up.
Thanks. I bought this one from him.
