Default Reedy Modified Green Label

Hello, I recently bought a used slash and a non stock Reedy motor came with it. The guy said it was his old race motor that he geared down for his son. Seems to run good but slow. He had a 13T pinion on it to run slow for his son.
I am trying to find out what the spec of this motor is. There were no markings anywhere. How many turns? RPM? What pinion should I run for my slash?
Thanks

Wow, that's a flashback! I don't have any proof, but i think it was a 17 Turn double motor. This is on my memory so I maybe way off!

You should open it if you really want to know what this motor is. It should be written on the rotor.
Or just gear up and check motor and ESC temps. As long as you can let your fingers on it, you are not overgeared.

I used to race these back in the late 80's. This was a great motor in it's era. They are by no means fast as compared to today's motors. I guess it would be an equivalent to a modern 13.5T brushless.

So it seems that we are looking at a 17T or so double wound motor. So it would be pretty equivalent to my stock Titan 550 12T? I was thinking to try it with my 18T stock pinion and see how it goes.

Useally, there was a colored dot or star on the motor to help identify the wind, its possible its still written on the armature.

The Ultra series motors used the same dot and star color coding I beleive...

This motor was during my tenure working for Mike.

Take the armature out and there will possibly be a number written on the stacks in Magic Marker. If it's still there I can decifer it for you.

Yea I tried to get it out last night but I could not get it out! I may have been doing something wrong but have taken others apart before with no problems. I may try again when I get home.
